SAMPLE LAYOUT SKETCH

DIRECTIONS: Prepare a "Layout
Sketch" for each different room on your "Design Analysis".
- Be sure to include all furnishings and built-in cabinets or equipment.
- Add lines to indicate walls but DO NOT show windows or doors.
- Try to make the length and width of the room even units.
- Label all furnishings and indicate the square footage of the room.
- If you have multiple rooms with the same layout, just indicate the
quantity below the sq. ft..
- Sketch all rooms to the same proportions: one square to the foot or
one square to two feet.
- Put all of the rooms in a packet with a cover for grading.
