1. Administrivia
Pending budget approval, a 2004-05 cadre of PowerRangers will be
invited to apply next month. Also, Power Rangers currently using
iBooks in the 3rd year will be upgraded over the summer. More
information to follow.
The final PowerRanger meeting of the year will be held on Friday, May 21 in room 7096. All PowerRangers are expected to attend.

3. Best Practices showcase of "student" work.
Examples of student work were presented during each lunch period. Look for these examples in the PowerRanger shared folder on Adlai. Also of interest in the PowerRanger shared folder are additional templates for PowerPoint.
4th hour:
Chris Mural shared Power Point projects created by students in
Latin
Laura Brown shared iMovie projects just completed this week!
Students created "Movie Trailers" promoting Macbeth.
Jen Schiavonne shared a student created PowerPoint on Diabetes
that linked to Internet resources such as the upcoming movie of
Chicago Cub Ron Santo's life with diabetes. She also shared a
Research Project guideline packet for guided study students.
5th hour:
Sandi Millman shared an example of student PowerPoint that
clearly showed plagiarism, and explained how she worked with the
student to realize what plagiarism is, and how to paraphrase
information for the report. She also shared the Diabetes presentation
and the Research Project handout.
Michelle LaCognata demonstrated a student use of Inspiration
software for mind-mapping in Social Studies. A copy of Michelle's
instruction sheet for the students is also in the shared folder.
Charlene played the Macbeth "movie trailers" from Laura
Brown's class.
6th hour:
Lori Polin-Silva showed iMovies created by students showing the
benefits of learning a second language. These were played during
morning announcements last year. Examples can be found on Lori's web
page.
Sandi Millman presented the information shared in 5th hour
(see above).
