iPoetry: Modern Interpretation of Classic Poetry
My rationale for selecting this site is taken right from the site itself. "In this project, students gain exposure to classic poetry and create a personal interpretation of a poem using a modern format. Because students are interested in music and movies, including these elements in a poetry lesson gives them a sense of ownership of the final product and, hopefully, an increased interest in poetry."

This site on Virtual Slam Poetry effectively uses technology to not only "publish" student work but emphasizes the need to choose the correct words and to put those words in an order that would communicate. Students perform as well.

iMovie Projectile Project:
Using a digital video camera as a data collection device is a great idea. I would like to try and use digital cameras and Imovie as a data collection device. The students always have trouble timing accurately and going frame by frame would be a very accurate measurement tool. The problem I foresee is that I would need to get enough digital cameras and computers for the kids to use.

iMovie to See, Do and Learn in Physical Education:
One can utilize iMovie to focus students on abstract physical education and science concepts, by using digital movies one can provide visual explorations that can make these concepts more meaningful.

Digital Video Lab Report:
I selected the lesson where students document a lab experiment using a digital video camera and appleworks. Then, the students create an iMovie to explain their experiment to the class. Movies are then linked on a web page.

"Sound/Story" -- This lesson involves students reading their own stories and recording them with added music. I especially like the part of this lesson that asks students to perform an expressive reading of their own story, which I think would also get them to examine their stories more critically.

Foreign Film Festival: So far, we've been taking short stories and turning them to plays, to allow students to practice the language. With this lesson plan, we can do it as an iMovie. Much more exciting!
