Web Development 1 is an introductory experience in website design using project based coursework. Students will develop the technical and creative skills needed to plan, create, and publish interactive web pages. Instruction will include the creation and manipulation of text, graphics, animations, and interactive content through the use of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Muse.

Students will continue their studies from Web Development 1 by applying modern web development techniques to create highly responsive web 2.0 sites that maximize user experience. Students will take advantage of the jQuery framework to manipulate web content and create sophisticated transitions and effects. New Internet technologies will be explored such as app writing. Students will design and develop mobile apps that take advantage of mobile device technology such as the accelerometer, GPS, SMS, and camera functions.
